These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Believele platform, including the website at believele.com, the web application at app.believele.com, the mobile application, and the Chrome browser extension (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Techno Believe Solutions Ltd (Company number 10866509), registered at 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX (“we”, “our”, “us”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Believele is an AI-powered career intelligence platform that helps you:

  • Analyse job listings against your professional profile
  • Generate tailored CVs and cover letters
  • Build application strategies and career plans
  • Track job applications through a pipeline
  • Chat with an AI career assistant (Bev)
  • Import professional profiles from LinkedIn via the Chrome extension
  • Learn from application outcomes to improve future documents

2. Account Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
  • One person per account — accounts are non-transferable

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes related to your job search and career development. You must not:

  • Use the Service to generate fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive documents
  • Misrepresent qualifications, experience, or credentials in generated CVs or cover letters
  • Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service beyond the provided interfaces
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent

4. AI-Generated Content

4.1 Nature of Output
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate CVs, cover letters, analysis reports, strategy documents, and chat responses. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and recommendation — not as professional, legal, or career advice.

4.2 Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before using it. You must ensure that all information in your CVs and cover letters is truthful and accurate. We do not guarantee that AI-generated documents will result in interviews, job offers, or any specific outcome.

4.3 No Guarantee of Results
While the Service is designed to improve your job application quality, we make no guarantees regarding interview rates, job offers, or employment outcomes. Past performance statistics displayed in the Service are illustrative and may not reflect your individual experience.

5. Pattern Learning Engine

5.1 How It Works
When you update application statuses in the Pipeline feature, the Service may analyse associated CVs and cover letters to identify patterns that correlate with successful outcomes. This analysis helps improve future document generation for you and other users.

5.2 Anonymised Data
Statistical patterns extracted from your application outcomes may be anonymised and aggregated with data from other users to improve the Service for everyone. This anonymised data contains no personal information and cannot be used to identify you. See our Privacy Policy Section 5 for full details.

5.3 Opting Out
Pattern analysis is only triggered when you manually update an application status in the Pipeline. If you do not wish to participate, simply do not use the Pipeline status tracking feature.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of all personal data, profile information, and content you provide to the Service. You grant us a limited licence to process this content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

6.2 Generated Documents
CVs, cover letters, and other documents generated by the Service are yours to use freely for your personal job search purposes. You may edit, download, print, and submit them to employers.

6.3 Our Property
The Service itself — including its design, code, algorithms, AI models (to the extent we control them), branding, and documentation — remains our intellectual property. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the right to use the Service as described.

7. Chrome Extension

  • The Chrome extension is provided as a companion tool to the web application
  • It only activates when you click the extension icon — it does not run in the background or monitor your browsing
  • LinkedIn profile import extracts publicly visible information only and is subject to LinkedIn’s own terms of service — you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with LinkedIn’s policies
  • We are not affiliated with LinkedIn and do not use their API

8. Service Availability

  • We aim to provide reliable access to the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability
  • We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability
  • AI features depend on third-party services (including OpenAI) and may occasionally be unavailable or produce unexpected results
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with reasonable notice

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
  • We are not responsible for employment decisions made by third parties based on documents generated by the Service
  • Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or 100 GBP, whichever is greater)

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Account Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@believele.app
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms
  • Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • Anonymised data that has already been aggregated into global patterns will not be removed, as it contains no personal information

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
